Job Summary:

The Truck Driver will be responsible for operating a variety of commercial vehicles to support paving operations, including dump trucks, and water trucks. This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely and safe transport of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites.

Essential Functions:

1. Protect family and friends. Safely operate a variety of trucks including but not limited to dump trucks and water trucks.

2. Focused. Transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites.

3. Dedication. Assist with the loading and unloading of materials.

4. Obligated. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report any maintenance issues.

5. Safety always wins Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.

6. Results matter. Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle logs as required.

7. Communicate effectively with dispatch, foremen, and other crew members to ensure efficient operations.

8. Humility. Support paving crew as needed during non-driving tasks.

Requirements, Education and Experience:

1. Valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement (Required).

2. Class A CDL strongly preferred.

3. Minimum 12 years of commercial driving experience in the construction or paving industry.

4. Clean driving record and a strong commitment to safety.

5. Ability to operate and maneuver vehicles in tight or congested work zones.

6. Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, nights, and occasional weekends during peak season.

7. Experience working in paving or heavy highway construction environments.

8. Familiarity with DOT compliance standards and basic truck maintenance.

9. Dependable, team-oriented, and proactive in work assignments.

10. Authorized to work in the U.S.

Travel:

Position will require travel throughout the state of New York, and New England based on the needs of the business.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

This position operates in a construction environment and involves physically demanding work. It requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds or more. The role involves exposure to loud equipment and moving mechanical parts, often on active job sites. The Truck Driver must be capable of sitting or standing for extended periods and performing tasks that include lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motion.
