Traffic Engineer – City of Bloomington

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The City of Bloomington is hiring a Traffic Engineer to lead the city’s transportation safety, mobility, and infrastructure efforts. What We’re Looking For

• PE license in Indiana preferred (required by state code for full supervisory responsibilities)
• Candidates without a PE must have significant, relevant experience in traffic engineering
• Indiana Engineering Intern (EI) certification with traffic engineering experience may also be considered
• Experience in the public sector is strongly preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Additional Information

• This is an on-site position. Hybrid work may be considered only as a last resort, as the current team is on-site
• Some evening meetings required; flexible scheduling (such as early start/early end) can be discussed
• Relocation support may be available for an exceptional candidate
• H1B sponsorship is not available
