United Pacific Surgery Center , is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. Full Time

United Pacific Surgery Center, in Tarzana, California, is a Medicare Certified and Joint Commission Accredited multi-specialty surgery center consisting of 3 operating rooms and one procedure room performing Orthopedic, General, Breast, Gynecological, Podiatric, GI, ENT and Urology procedures. We are looking to add awesome and well qualified additions to our team of dedicated, hard-working and results driven individuals, to make this center the first choice for ambulatory surgery in the San Fernando Valley.

Additionally, candidates will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team. Willingness to be involved in various committees and ancillary functions throughout the facility on an as needed basis. Position requires weekdays only - no holidays, weekends, or call. Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Monday-Friday work schedule NO call required NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours Free Parking

Wage Range: $26 to $33 an hour, depending on experience


Required Skills:

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Computer skills, required
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
  • Six months of experience, preferred
  • 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
  • Experience with all types of sterilizers.
  • Knows operating room instrumentation.
  • Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
  • Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
  • Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
  • Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
