Family Medicine Physician

The practice has been providing comprehensive primary care services since 2018, and we are currently recruiting a primary care physician to join us in Greater Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable practicing autonomously and independently, as this role requires a high level of self-sufficiency.
  • The physician will be responsible for managing a patient load of approximately 18–22 patients per day after an initial ramp-up period.
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care services for patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions. Also immunizing patients against preventable diseases.
  • Prescribing or administering medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • Explaining procedures, care plans, test results or prescribed treatments with patients (and their family).
  • Monitoring patients' conditions and progress, and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary.
  • Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results.
  • Referring patients to other medical specialists, when necessary.
  • Providing support and advice to patients receiving long-term care.
Required Qualifications:
  • Current and unrestricted medical license or willing to obtain a medical license in the state of North Carolina.
  • Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program of an accredited university.
  • Board Certification or Eligible to become certified (ABMS or AOA) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a high level of skill with interpersonal relationships and communication with colleagues/patients.
  • Fully engaged in the concept of “Integrated team-based care” model.
  • Superior patient/customer service.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and EMR. We use Athena!
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Active and unrestricted DEA license.
  • Medicare Provider Number.
  • Minimum of three to seven years directly applicable experience preferred.
