POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide direct patient care and functions as an integral part of the nursing team under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and perform selected procedures in accordance with the New Jersey Board of Nursing. EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing. EXPERIENCE: Completion of the Agency’s Orientation Program of the Valley Home Care. SPECIAL SKILLS: Current & valid NJ license and CPR certification. Ability to use critical thinking skills to set priorities, effectively problem-solve, and perform work accurately with attention to details, often changing from one task to another w/o loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to handle frequent interruptions including emergencies & adapt to changes in workloads and schedules. Ability to function competently in stressful situations related to patient needs (e.g., working w/ patients w/acute, chronic, & complex disease processes, & those who are dying and work w/ patients of varied age groups. Ability to work cooperatively w/ members of the healthcare delivery team, patients, family members, & co-workers. Effective interpersonal and communication (oral & writing) skills. *Driver`s License - current and valid driver`s license, registration, inspection sticker and appropriate level of insurance coverage required, to include collision. Employees must adhere to all procedural guidelines in HR Policy 108 including demonstrating an acceptable driving record for the duration of their employment as long as driving continues to be a responsibility of the job.Job Location
