The Team:
This role is part of New York Life’s Foundational Business Marketing and Practice Management Team. The Marketing and Practice Management team provides strategic and operational support to advisors and their teams, helping them streamline their business operations, improve client service, and drive business growth. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Strategic Marketing Consultant to contribute to various initiatives, ensuring they are seamlessly executed and aligned with organizational goals.

 

 

Role Overview:
As a Strategic Marketing Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert marketing guidance to New York Life’s agents and advisors. You will work closely with these advisors and their teams to craft tailored marketing strategies, enhance client engagement, and optimize business operations. This role serves as a liaison between advisors and New York Life, ensuring they have the resources, insights, and tools needed to build strong client relationships, drive growth, and improve practice efficiency. The consultant also supports the execution of agent training and development programs and collaborates with internal teams to ensure advisors receive optimal service and guidance.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

1. Strategic Marketing Support & Advisory:

  • Provide coaching and consulting to agents/advisors on business development, client relationship management, and overall marketing strategy to boost practice efficiency and growth.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize marketing workflows, enhance client engagement, and elevate productivity through innovative marketing solutions.
  • Help agents/advisors develop and execute business and marketing plans tailored to their specific goals, including strategies for client acquisition, retention, and brand positioning.
  • Offer insights on leveraging digital marketing strategies, such as social media, email campaigns, and content marketing, to reach and engage with target clients effectively.

 

2. Training and Development:

  • Develop and deliver training programs focusing on marketing best practices, operational efficiency, and technology tools to enhance practice management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by keeping agents/advisors informed about emerging marketing trends, digital tools, and new technologies that can enhance their marketing efforts and business operations.
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure that advisors and their teams are effectively using marketing systems, tools, and strategies to maximize their impact.

 

3. Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Collaborate with New York Life internal departments such as marketing, compliance, operations, and technology to ensure that agents/advisors are equipped with the necessary tools and resources for success.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives that align internal resources with advisors’ business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate efforts between agents/advisors and senior leadership to align strategic goals, enhance service delivery, and drive business outcomes.

 

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; and/or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or practice management.
  • Experience in Financial Services Marketing: Prior experience working with agents/advisors or within the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Marketing Expertise: Deep knowledge of strategic marketing principles, including digital marketing, branding, content creation, and campaign management.
  • Training & Development: Experience in designing and delivering training programs, especially in practice management, marketing, and technology adoption.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate advisors through strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to track and measure the effectiveness of marketing programs and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.

 

Please note : This role requires FINRA licensed and/or FINRA Associated Person pre-hire fingerprinting.
