Position Overview
The Behavioral Health Therapist (BHT) is an essential member of a multidisciplinary team working to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by severe mental illnesses. This community-based position focuses on providing evidence-based therapeutic services that are individualized based on comprehensive client assessments. Therapists support clients in achieving recovery goals, improving daily functioning, and enhancing quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

~Conduct thorough assessments to identify client strengths, needs, and goals.
~Develop and implement individualized treatment|service plans.
~Identify and respond to risk factors; consult with peers on high-risk situations.
~Teach and model social and household management skills.
~Apply advanced understanding of behavioral health symptoms, diagnoses, and treatments.
~Maintain clinical documentation and reports accurately and promptly.
~Provide referrals and connect clients with appropriate community and agency resources.
~Maintain ethical and professional boundaries at all times.
~Participate in data collection for service outcomes and program improvement.
~Collaborate with team members and support a culture of continuous clinical development.

Qualifications
~Education:
Masters or Doctorate in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
~Licensure:
Active, unrestricted license in Louisiana or Compact state as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.
~Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Typing speed of 40 wpm desired.

Other Requirements:
~Valid driver's license.
~Willingness to work on-call hours, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours shifts.
~No restrictions that would disqualify from Medicaid or insurance billing.
~Bilingual abilities preferred.
~Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
~Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
